Talk:Drag-And-Drop
From Ajax Patterns
There's an archived version of this pattern available, taken from the Ajax Pattern book draft, showing roughly how it appeared before the page became publicly editable.
There is a little error on the URL for script.aculo.us. It's not http://script.aclo.us/ but http://script.aculo.us/. --Didier69 Fixed, thanks --User:Mahemoff

time table drag and drop
Hi,
I recently found out about ajax and really liked it. I would like to develope a smalled time table application where a timeTable gets displayed(i'm not too concerned about how). The items on the timetable can usually be in a different arrangement. For example if i have three items T1, T2.
T1 can only occur at: 8:30 to 10:00 on mondays or 2:30 to 5:00 on tuesdays T2 can only occur at: 9 to 10 on wednesdays or thursdays
Now users starts off with T1 on mondays and T2 on wednesdays.
Lets say a user does not like this configuration and wants to chage T1 to 2:30 5:30. I would like the user to be ablet to drag T1 to the alternative location. When the mouse is pressed i would like the time slot 2:30 - 5:30 to change color to help guide the user to the correct location. Can someone please let me know if this can be done easily and give me some idea on where to start.
Thanks
